Bangladesh will not travel to India to play the T20 World cup

Bangladesh has reiterated that Bangladesh Cricket Team will not travel to India to participate in the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup, with Youth and Sports Adviser Asif Nazrul confirming the government's firm stance after a meeting with national team players.
Nazrul said Bangladesh did not receive fair consideration from the ICC regarding its security concerns and expressed disappointment that the request to play matches in Sri Lanka was rejected. He added that the government cannot risk the safety of its players by agreeing to play under conditions it deems unsafe, noting that he had personally discussed the matter with the cricketers.
BCB President Aminul Islam Bulbul stated that the board remains keen on playing the tournament in Sri Lanka and will continue discussions with the ICC. However, the ICC has maintained that Bangladesh must play in India to remain in the competition, warning that refusal could lead to replacement by another team. The BCB has been given one day to communicate its final decision.
