LCK CUP FINALS TO BE HELD IN HONG KONG

In a landmark move for League of Legends esports, the 2026 LCK Cup Finals will be held in Hong Kong for the first time ever, marking the first occasion the prestigious League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) tournament’s final stage is hosted outside South Korea.

The event, officially titled “2026 LCK Cup Finals in Hong Kong presented by CGA,” is scheduled to take place over two days, from February 28 to March 1, 2026, at the Kai Tak Arena in Hong Kong’s Kai Tak Sports Park.

A New Era for LCK Esports

Since its launch in 2012, the LCK—widely regarded as one of the world’s strongest competitive League of Legends leagues—has traditionally held all its major events within South Korea. This year’s decision to stage the finals abroad represents a major step in expanding the league’s global reach and bringing elite esports competition closer to fans across Asia and beyond.

The finals will feature the most critical playoff matches of the LCK Cup, including:

February 28 (Saturday) — Loser Finals (deciding the final bracket challengers)

March 1 (Sunday) — Grand Final (championship match)

Match Start Time: 16:00 local time each day

Venue: Kai Tak Arena, a state-of-the-art indoor esports venue with capacity for thousands of spectators.

Global Fans & Big Players

Tournament organizers and Hong Kong officials expect the two-day event to draw over 10,000 spectators per day, turning Kai Tak Sports Park into a major hub for esports fans. The event has also been awarded the “M” Mark status by Hong Kong’s Major Events Committee, a recognition given to prominent international sports and entertainment events that elevate the city’s global sporting profile.

The finals will bring together top LCK teams and elite players, with global fans hoping to see legendary competitors such as Faker, widely regarded as one of the greatest League of Legends players of all time, and other stars from powerhouse teams like T1, Gen.G, DRX, and more.

Gateway to International Glory

Beyond deciding the LCK Cup champion, performance at the Hong Kong finals will play a key role in determining which teams advance to elite global competitions, including the upcoming First Stand Tournament, a major international League of Legends event featuring top teams from around the world.

Tickets & Fan Experience

Tickets for the event are set to go on sale soon, with priority and public sale windows opening in late January. Spectators will have the chance to witness live best-of-five (Bo5) matches and enjoy side events, merchandise, and community experiences designed to celebrate competitive gaming culture.
