Rumeen Farhana to contest independently from Brahmanbaria-2 with her favourite "Duck" symbol

After receiving the symbol, Rumin expressed her excitement to reporters, saying, "I love my voters and supporters more than my own life. When they see me, even the little children shout: 'our goose mark, our goose mark.' This symbol belongs to my voters, not me."

"I used to rear ducks," she said, recalling past thefts of of her own reared ducks.

"When my reared ducks were stolen, I took legal action and even ensured imprisonment for the culprits. If anyone even thinks of stealing this symbol, I will take appropriate measures," she warned.

Rumin also emphasised her commitment to the constituency, saying, "I am a candidate for the ordinary people of Brahmanbaria-2. If elected, I will ensure development according to what the voters want and need."

Today, according to the sources, 13 candidates withdrew their nominations, leaving a final list of 48 valid contenders, with party candidates receiving their respective party symbols and independents allocated symbols of their choice.

Among other allocations, Zonayed Saki, BNP-allied candidate for Brahmanbaria-6 (Bancharampur) and convener of the Ganosamhati Andolan, received the party symbol 'Matthal'.
