This Government failed to enforce the verdict in Abrar Fahad murder case.

Abrar Fahad's younger brother, Abrar Faiyaj, wrote on his Facebook page, "If everything stays as it is, this government will have been in power for 23 more days. At this point, it is fairly certain that this government has not been able to execute the verdict in the Abrar Fahad murder case." He added, "On March 16 last year, the High Court delivered the appeal verdict.
Thanks to the caretaker government for quickly concluding the High Court proceedings. The case is currently pending for hearing in the Supreme Court's Appellate Division."
In the post, Abrar Faiyaj further said, "To put it simply, the reason is that over the past 10 months, there was not enough time to schedule this case after completing or setting aside political cases. We probably did not refrain from requesting any person in power in the Bangladesh government to conclude this case during this government's tenure. Even a single hearing would have prevented starting from zero again. But despite repeated assurances, in the end, it has now been postponed to the next government. Sometimes I heard that concluding the case too quickly is a problem, sometimes the appeal was not filed and came later, sometimes it was filed but not in the proper manner, sometimes they come after vacation, sometimes time is needed to prepare the paper book, and in the end, the government's time ran out. I do not know exactly how many days my father spent pursuing this, but there is nothing more I can do. Still, people live in hope. Let's see if the next government will give some time..."
